Obtaining spa jobs can be quite an adventure especially if its one of the resorts that has a spa section to it. These particular resorts are found to be one of the favorite types because of the opportunity they give for an individual to become pampered, and treated like a queen, or king for that matter.

To obtain one of the resort manager jobs, will require you to have some extensive knowledge in the beauty industry, particularly when it comes to the variety of beauty treatments that are available today. It’s a full time task just to keep up with new beauty products and treatments that are constantly hitting the market. If it’s a very large resort then there will most probably be a variety of resort manager jobs available. Here are some of the more common ones.

Types of Manager Positions in a Resort



1. Manicure/Pedicure Manager: This is one of the most common spa treatments offered. In a luxury resort spa there will no doubt be several technicians on staff that just specialize in these two services. If this is the case then there must be a manager in place to see to scheduling, proper appointment scheduling and ordering of supplies and products. Due to it being a popular service there are often manager jobs available that are easy to find.

2. Aestheticians Manager: There are usually several manager jobs available in this field. Many resort spas run 24/7 so there has to be a good number of aestheticians available to perform services that are required of them. It is most common for the senior aestheticians to perform the electrolysis services, therefore there are managers required to oversee this service. Then there are a variety of facials that are offered. These are usually the biggest marketing aspect to draw clients to the spa. When the spa and resort establishment is large it usually has the ability to offer many resort manager jobs.

3. Body Treatments Manager: Once again just like the facial treatments, there are a variety of body treatments and body massages. This means ample opportunities for spa jobs for individuals trained in the field. . Again there are opportunities here for resort manager jobs as well.

In addition to the spa jobs there are various resort jobs as well. There is the accommodation sector of the business that requires staff. Maid service must be available as the clients expected to be waited upon constantly. There are resort jobs that are applicable to housekeeping duties as well.

Outside of being an actual owner of a Spa and Resort the highest position openings would be spa director jobs. In reality they are the individuals that can make or break the over all success of the spa. Spa director jobs may be aligned with just one special area of the spa and resort. For example there may be spa director jobs for being responsible for hiring and firing of the trained personnel that is required. Then there may be other spa director jobs that oversee the treatment plans and schedules for the guests. They will also be responsible for putting together intriguing and inviting spa packages as well. For one industry there is certainly a variety of resort jobs that just about fits anyone interested in this type of work.

Resort Jobs: Requirements

For the regular resort jobs you may be required to have some experience in the hospitality industry, such as housekeeping services for example. There are normally entry level resort jobs. These are a great way to break into the industry but are not all that high paying positions.
