Overnight Housing Auditor will ensure that all night audit work is completed in a timely manner and efficiently operate in-house reservations through the selling of guest rooms and maximization of revenues.
What will I be doing?
As an Overnight Housing Auditor, you would be responsible for overseeing the auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions to support the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Answers calls, returns e-mails and voicemails. Assists guest in checking in and booking reservations, by providing superior property knowledge.
Examine and verify charges, and posting of Guest Service Agents. Balance City Ledger. Balance room revenue. Prepare daily transaction summary. Clear Front office system and set for start of day.
Examine and verify food and beverage posted charges and posting, balance all charges to F&B Cash systems, and review food and beverage summary.
Communicate with Front Office Manager/Director of Finance regarding problems with cashiering functions of Guest Service Agents and prepare weekly night audit schedule.
Process group blocks as assigned from sales and events department.
Effectively enters group blocks into reservation computer system. Sets inventory controls for host blocks for each group. Audits OnQ PM for reservations accuracy. Looks for special requests, coding issues and billing requirements.
Process Account Covers Sheets (ACS) and Group Billing as specified.
Communicates with sales and events department regarding all questions that stem from groups, while monitoring group blocks after they have been entered in computer system.
Reviews actualized rooms for potential billing errors and group pick up, assisting in ensuring proper availability. Monitors and charges No Shows and Late Cancels daily. Reviews and audits third parties, permanent blocks and consolidates when needed.
