In Commercial Strategy, Insights, and Analytics, we are internal consultants to key functions across the business, including Hilton’s Customer, Brands, Marketing, Digital, Revenue, and Sales organizations, with specialized support for the executive leadership team. The team consists of both embedded authorities who serve as strategic advisors to key partners and technical specialists who are proficient in advanced analytics techniques and tools. The team is integrated with the business functions to ensure close partnership and to optimally measure and drive company performance.
What will I be doing?
You will join the Sales Analytics team, in support of the wider Hilton Worldwide Sales team, specializing in enterprise-wide Sales reporting for multiple parts of the business. This role will entail working internally within the Analytics team to deliver high-quality and timely reporting that will support the business both retroactively (“what happened?”) and proactively (“what do we expect will happen?”). The team supports reporting globally across Hilton Worldwide Sales and is looking to optimize, enhance, and streamline reporting across all regions to provide every team with consistent and clear-cadenced reporting.
Leveraging Hilton’s data to uncover useful insights and translating those insights into a clear story for our internal partners.
Frequent use of reporting and optimization tools such as dashboarding software (MicroStrategy or Tableau a plus), SQL, Alteryx, and potentially R or R Markdown where relevant.
Running queries to pull data extracts, synthesize analyses, and interpret trends and variances.
Supporting key reoccurring analytics reporting including the Commercial Performance Review and regularly delivered cadenced reporting (weekly/monthly/quarterly) to all regions across the world.
Develop strong within the team, business partner, and cross-functional relationships, including but not limited to sales, revenue, and technology.
Measure and monitor the performance and efficiency of current initiatives, and prepare analysis and insights to guide discussions during executive and cross-functional reviews.
Maintain the integrity of data and reporting while continually improving or developing new approaches.
Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned by the manager.
Supports new hire training, mentors new hires, and helps to improve the team’s analytical and technical skills.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
One (1) year of experience in roles developing and analyzing reports using SQL, Dashboarding software (Tableau, MicroStrategy preferred), and report building (Excel).
One (1) year working with data representation, storytelling, and analyses.
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
Experience in the hospitality industry
Experience in optimization tools such as Alteryx or R preferred
