The Director, Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Program Management directly helps fulfill that mission and will be at the forefront of the mass adoption of Electric Vehicle ownership in the next decade. This individual will be the relationship and operations leader for Marriott’s relationship with Electric Vehicle Charging Point Operators and will be part of a core team driving sustainability and electric vehicle adoption at Marriott International’s HQ.
As part of Marriott’s Electric Vehicle and Sustainability team, the Director reports to the Global Engineering Team. and will work in close partnership with stakeholders in Global Operations, Product, Digital, Loyalty and others.
This role is responsible for executing the day-to-day delivery process of all related activities with assigned account portfolio including building/maintaining strong trusted relationships as well as executing against mutually defined account goals and KPIs. Core to this is managing and strengthening relationships with existing software and hardware partners across the EV ecosystem. Activities will include establishing operating procedure documentation, expanding product capabilities and integrations, building venue support processes and resources, engaging regularly with cross-industry partners to drive business success, onboarding new properties, developing, and delivering product education, measuring, and reporting on business performance, identifying product capability needs and helping to shape long-term EV charging infrastructure growth strategy and adoption.
This position is accountable for assigned tasks including required internal and external relationship and stakeholder management. The position demonstrates advanced knowledge of job-relevant topics, systems, and processes to pull through assigned tasks.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or relevant field
8 years’ experience in hospitality, project management, sustainability, engineering, or a related industry
Strong knowledge of hotel/building facilities and operations: including utilities, electrical, and/or mechanical
Preferred
Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units
Strong project management skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity
Passion for product management, and business development
Strong account management and influencing skills
Ability to manage complex account relationships and execute focused account plans
Strong leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well within all levels of the organization, especially internal and external senior management
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Executing day-to-day delivery process of all related activities with assigned account portfolio
Builds/maintains strong trusted relationship with property management, above property leaders, consultants, owners, and other key stakeholders.
Develops vendor contracts, and renewals and maintains strong working relationships.
Holds vendors and other stakeholders accountable to contract terms and other deadlines
Establishes and executes detailed account plans and measures success against KPIs
Cooperates very closely with key stakeholders, including regional teams, Marriott Digital, Global Operations and Field Marketing to support global and regional execution of the relationship
Develops and oversees strategy for management of EV charging program
Creates strategy for establishing metrics and tracks process
Assists in the development of long-term strategy and growth of the EV charging program
Acts as a resource to Continents teams for partner-specific questions and serve as subject matter expert and thought leader of the EV Charging program and its’ implementation
Establishing operating procedures, tools, and resources
Drives expansion of product capabilities through partners, collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive integration
Establishes and distributes content and tools necessary to enable properties to maximize use of partner platform
Ensures compliance with Marriott IT Security requirements
Collaborates with technical and property support teams to ensure resources program is properly administered. Enables use of enterprise resources and other tools to support business
Platform education and training
Establishes KPI metric framework to guide regions and individual properties on program and platform performance
Develops best practices tools and content and delivers education via webinars or by other means to leaders and key stakeholders
Stays abreast of and understands competitive product offerings and capability needs of Marriott properties. Shares information to facilitate product road map development internally and with partners
Supporting communication and stakeholder management
Leads/Attends business review meetings as appropriate
Develops updates for senior management (HQ and Continents) as needed
Supports execution of strategic meetings between partners and Marriott senior executives
Acts as contact between EV charging vendors, owners, property leaders, and other key stakeholders
Cooperates with members of the Global Operations, Digital organization, and field eCommerce organization where applicable

The salary range for this position is $107,850.00 to $239,250.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only:
The salary range for this position is $107,850.00 to $239,250.00 annually.
New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only:
The salary range for this position is $130,500.00 to $239,250.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only:
The salary range for this position is $107,850.00 to $239,250.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.4616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
