to join the Culinary Team!
Located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix since 1929, this gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $100 million renovation. This iconic hotel has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 pools, 2 bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining).
Glamour has always been on the menu at the Biltmore with events ranging from 5 up to 12,000 people. Whether our guests choose to celebrate in an elegant ballroom, the storied Aztec Room or by a chic firepit under the stars, our guests can be assured of a memorable occasion amongst this captivating blend of old-school glamour and effortless chic.

The ideal candidate will be have a passion for delivering culinary excellence, excel in working quickly with precision, and a hunger to learn. At least two (2) years of prior pastry experience in a professional kitchen is required.

What will I be doing?
As a Pastry Cook I, you would be responsible creating, preparing, producing and baking all pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for food and beverage outlets in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
