Profile

The primary responsibility of the Conference Services Manager is to coordinate and manage group bookings generated by the Sales Managers. This role has responsibility for the execution of events with group rooms and catering events. Create a seamless turnover from the Sales department to the operations team by coordinating room blocks, guest arrivals, BEOs, floor plans, menu planning and client expectations. Partner with rooms division and catering team to meet and exceed revenue targets.JOB DESCRIPTIONGroup contracts and room blocksnManage contracts turned over from Sales Managers, addendums, room blocks, arrivals, VIPs, cut off dates, attrition and meeting room rentalnInteract and assist Front Office/Reservations team with group bookingsnDevelop group resumesnOther competencies including but not limited to agenda setting, hotel meeting services, amenities, special VIP requests, billing instructions and other special requirements of the groupnGroup Food & Beverage functionsnManage group function space and bookingsnDevelop and execute BEOs and floor plans in DelphinManage client Food & Beverage expectationsnCoordinate one-on-one room requestsnManage Food & Beverage related revenue and profitabilitynWork as an active team member in the Catering and Sales departmentnEnsuring Exceptional Customer ServicenCreate an atmosphere that meets or exceeds guest expectationsnHigh level of engagement with clients and/or guests to ensure a positive experiencenInteract with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levelsnRespond to and handle guest problems and complaintsnEmphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvementnMaintain a good working relationship with other departments and employeesnREQUIREMENTSn3 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, Group or Room Sales, or related professional area. Proficiency in Delphi, and hotel property management systems requiredn4-year degree from an accredited university preferrednProficient in Delphi, Amadeus Hospitality Diagramming (or similar), Opera, Excel, WordnMust have great written and verbal communication skillsnThe ability to handle multiple activities in a fast paced environment is essentialnStrong customer development and relationship management skillsnEffective decision making skillsn Source: Hospitality Online,
