Incumbent performs general maintenance and repair of structures or equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficient) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) work.Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolutionEssential Duties & Job FunctionsnIn a variety of duties: as replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, filters and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing sinks, painting structures and equipment; replacing damaged sheet rock, floor tiles, and ceiling tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks.nUtilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written instructions.nResponsible for completing daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used and hours worked on each assigned work order.nInterfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.nOperates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.nComplies with applicable federal, state, and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.nComplies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.nFollows Topnotch, Spire and AWH Corporation furnished information directives; Topnotch/Spire Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Topnotch/Spire Policies and Procedures, and requirements.nIncumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.nPerforms other related duties as assigned.nAccountable FornAccurate, timely, and cost effective performance of duties.nWorking harmoniously with customers and fellow co-workers.nMaintaining strict confidentiality of all Topnotch/Spire/AWH related matters.nAccountable for assigned tools, materials and equipment.nCleanliness and safety of shop and work areas.nJob Requirements (Education, Experience, & Professional Association)MandatorynHigh School diploma or equivalency.nCurrent state driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.nMinimum one (1) year experience in general maintenance and repair.nMust be available to work other shifts as directed, to include week-ends and holidays.nAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.nAbility to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.nAbility to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards.nFamiliarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.nAbility to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.nProficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools.nDemonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English.nAll employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Spire Hospitality standards.nReport status of equipment to superintendent through service sheets and verbal communications to insure proper functions and safety.nnPerform walk around inspections on equipment through checking equipment for condition and parts to be repaired or replaced.
