About West Hotel

West Hotel Sydney, Curio Collection by Hilton is one of Sydney’s boutique hotels. Located near Barangaroo at 65 Sussex Street Sydney, West offers discerning corporate and leisure travellers a truly unique hotel experience with 182 designer rooms including four suites, a modern Australian restaurant and bar, a private meeting/dining room, stunning internal garden Atrium and a fully equipped gym.

What will I be doing?

Your role will be to:


Process and monitor all incoming reservations for West Hotel
Provide excellent and comprehensive event orders to deliver and exceed customer expectations
Work closely with the Sales and Events team to ensure all group bookings are appropriately managed
Work independently to provide full service approach for all FIT bookings
Maximise revenue through actively upselling and also ensuring that all deposits are received and accuracy in the final invoice
Consistently strive to develop relationships and ensuring customer loyalty to Hilton


What are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:


Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role (preferred)
Preferred tertiary qualifications
Able to take management direction and works well with a team to achieve goals
Previous experience in event management
Strong administration and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work effectively without constant supervision. Passionate, innovative, exciting initiatives delivered with consistency and excellent attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to be involved and interact with the overall Hilton team both at an individual and team level
Fluent in the English language in order to communicate professionally with guests and team members, both in person and over the telephone
Committed to personal development
Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict
