SUMMARY:

This position provides critical financial support across the Tyson business enterprise for the Innovation team along with direct responsibility for Food Service and Poultry Business Units (BU’s). This includes partnering with the Innovation team along with the BU s and other cross-functional departments on evaluating break-out and disruptive product launches throughout the innovation governance process, as well as reporting innovation metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with Innovation teams for break-out and disruptive product launches to provide financial guidance especially during the latter stages of the governance process, specifically, the feasibility, development, and launch prep stages

Oversight for the Tyson enterprise innovation financials

Manage a team who will be responsible for managing the assembly of the Innovation financials, including data governance and key business level reporting

Assist with the creation and maintenance of profit and loss PL statements including verification and validation of inputs assumptions

Oversee the reporting of key metrics for innovation performance scorecards, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Board of Director review

Facilitate the management for the innovation strategic plan roll-up

Assist with the development of the Capital Investment Requests CIR s for long-term innovation projects if applicable including project payback and related financial metrics

Attend project governance meetings to offer finance perspective on individual projects.

Create ad-hoc reports analysis and presentations as requested or as needed

Participate in post-launch reviews

Manage a team of three (2 direct and one indirect)

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting , or Business Analytics

Experience: 5 plus years of experience in Finance preferably in Food Service or Poultry along with experience managing data; 1 plus year supervisory experience and MBA/CPA preferred

Special Skills: Strong aptitude for data management with an advanced understanding of financial statements and multi-dimensional business hierarchy. Thought leader with ability to manage his team while working with cross-functional leaders.

Technical Skills: Advanced Excel user and familiarity with data integration applications (e.g. Tableau Prep Builder, Google Data Prep, Power BI, or Alteryx)

Travel: 1 to 3 domestic trips per year.
