This is a rare opportunity to sell and execute Catering events at a legendary property. It's a seller's dream with over 230,000 square feet of fabulous event space - the most of any hotel in Chicago! We are located overlooking Lake Michigan and Grant Park and close to McCormick Place.nThe ideal candidate will have 3 plus years of Catering Sales and Execution experience, a positive can-do attitude, passion for service and creativity with superior written and verbal communication skills. Come, join our TEAM!nRequirements:n3 years of Catering Sales and Events execution experiencen2 years of similar sized, large hotel experience nExcellent communication skillsnProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlooknExperience with executing events in spaces of 100K square feet of morenAssets:nHilton experiencenDelphi/FDC experiencenEvent Execution experiencenYou would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:nnRepresent the hotel through preparing proposals and other external sales presentations to groups and prospective customers to solicit, explain, negotiate, and close catering business. nMeet with and entertain customers, conduct property tours, participate in tradeshows, industry and community events to promote facilities and services and close deals. nUtilize discretion and authority to negotiate contracts to maximize revenue and profitability with customers and vendors. nManage all aspects of the customer relationship including responding to customer inquiries, drafting proposals and contracts.nOrganizing arrangements for social and corporate events including the set-up and execution. nDirect and collaborate logistics to all other affected departments and team members also responsible for event execution. nProvide consultation to customers to ensure we create unforgettable experiences within budget. nCreatively design and detail menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience. nCoordinate with Dir. of Catering for planning and execution of significant events at the hotel.nPrepare and present catering forecasts and reports as required by Director of Catering. nManage room block pick up, cut off dates and attrition for affiliate group blocksnnWhat will it be like to work for this Hilton Worldwide Brand?nOne of the most recognized names in the industry, Hilton Hotels & Resorts offers travelers a world of authentic experiences.
