The Opportunity Delaware North Travel and Hospitality is searching for an Accounting Clerk to join our team at Minneapolis Airport in Saint Paul, Minnesota. As an Accounting Clerk, you will complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. You will also assist the Controller or Accounting Manager with preparing the weekly and monthly operating results.Position starts at $21.00/hourBENEFITS: Delaware North offers full time employees competitive benefits including health care, paid time off and a 401K. Responsibilities nReceives and verifies invoices and requisitions for goods and services.nPrepares, verifies and processes invoices and coding payment documents.nProcesses journal vouchers.nVerifies that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.nPrepares batches of invoices for daily data entry.nBills and credits accounts involved with the accounts payable system.nResponds to questions and makes calls regarding billing problems; acts as a liaison between departments and vendor.nChecks department financial accounts to assure funds are available for purchases.nMaintains the general ledger, updating vendor files and numbers.nProvides administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations.nReviews Electronic Direct Invoices processed at Corporate level for proper accountability and weekly balancing.nProcesses FedEx or UPS transactions for the unit.nFiles all approved invoices that are approved by Controller or Accounting Manager.nOther duties as assigned.nQualifications nDegree in Accounting, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.nPrior Accounts Payable experience preferred.nKnowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices.nAbove average PC, Word, Excel, Outlook, and computerized accounting skills is required.nMust be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication in the primary language.nStrong customer service orientation, with a focus on accuracy in handling confidential information.nShift Details 1st ShiftWho We Are At Delaware North, you’ll love where you work, who you work with, and how your day unfolds.
