Scope
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is looking for full-time Cooks to join the team at Superfrico at Caesars in Atlantic City. The Cook is responsible for executing on a world class menu to create a dining experience that guests will savor long after they have taken the last bite. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail and personal standards and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ultimately, youll ensure we provide excellent guest service by preparing polished yet unpretentious dishes and delivering them consistently.
Primary Job Duties
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
Set up a work station according to kitchen guidelines.
Prepare, seasons, finishes, and garnishes designated recipes/menu items as assigned in accordance with established recipes and guidelines.
Read tickets and prepare food items accordingly with 100% accuracy.
Follow standardized presentations and seek approval on presentations for special request items.
Maintain quality standards set forth by management and report any inconsistencies as necessary.
Inspect all refrigeration and dry storage for proper temperature, handling and rotation of products.
Wrap, labels and date all food products in accordance with health department standards.
Work cleanly and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with health department guidelines.
Accurately handling food items to minimize waste and maintain health code standards.
Maintain a true understanding of the food regulations with the ability to recite upon request.
Stock designated station for the next shift.
Operate kitchen equipment in a safe and sanitary manner with complete understanding of how the equipment works.
Work a station independently and efficiently with little or no assistance during regular business volumes.
Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
Demonstrating a passion for details and a willingness to learn
Upholding service preparation and culinary standards to ensure a memorable guest experience
Prepare special requests as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
Assist in the training of new employees as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
At least one year of experience in a high volume professional kitchen or culinary school environment.
Basic understanding of cooking techniques and proper knife skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
Excellent customer service skills.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Polished appearance and demeanor.
Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
Possess a commitment to quality service.
A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality
Must have valid work authorization for the US
At least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
At least two years of prep or line cook experience in a similar professional kitchen environment.
Completed formal culinary training or apprenticeship.
Serve Safe Certification for Food Handling.
Previous experience working in an energetic, hospitality driven restaurant or nightlife venue.

Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Prolonged standing and mobility up to 8 hours.
Bending and reaching.
Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
Strong eye/hand coordination.
Use of standard kitchen equipment.
Basic math.
Ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
