Position Purpose: under direction, performs assigned human resources responsibilities at the property level. Examples Of Duties Essential FunctionsAveragePercentof TimenMaintains responsibility for and properly handles all UKG functions to include requisition process and managing Recruiting and Onboarding.nEnsures all records are filed correctly and are retained for the required length of timenMaintains employee personnel files, ensuring all required information is included in all filesnAssists in the administration of benefits to include processing required documents through payroll, engaging associates in participationnAdministers worker’s compensation programsnConducts New Hire Orientation training by using many types of media such as slides, videos, and music to welcome new employees and inform them of the history of, policies, procedures, and philosophies. Instruct new employees in completion of necessary paperwork. Visually reviews documents for accuracy.nPlans, organizes and conducts employee engagement functionsnAssist with various research projects and/or special projectsnResponsibilities And DutiesnConducts telephone and written reference checks on qualified applicants by asking their previous employer(s) questions to gather information such as a previous employee's performance and attitude in order to assist in making a hiring decision.nProcesses paperwork including hiring documentation organizes and maintains position records.nExtends job offers contingent upon passing background check by calling the qualified candidates on the telephone and explaining the procedure.nPrepares and distributes weekly typed list of positions.nConsults with department managers as to current openings and status of interviewed candidates.nMay participate as a safety committee membernPerforms other hotel duties as assigned.nSpecific Job knowledge, skill and abilityThe individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.nSome knowledge of EEOC and employment laws.nAbility to work under strict deadlines.nAbility to sit for long periods of time.nAbility to effect number facility.nnAbility to read and speak the English language fluently.nAbility to effectively deal with employees and applicants, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.nOther Supportive Functions/ ExpectationsIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.nRegular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.nEmployees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.nDue to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. This includes nights, weekends and/or holidays.nTeam Members are always required to take on the responsibility and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.nComplies with health and safety rules, regulations and procedures to maintain a safe environment.nUpon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
