JOB SUMMARY

The maintenance technician maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions


Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Handling all in-house repairs in regard to removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc.
Performs routine maintenance on building interior and exterior.
Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.
Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in building.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in public and non-public areas of the property including guest rooms. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions while performing their duties. The noise level in the work environment and work areas can be loud.

Required Education and Experience


High school diploma or GED.


Preferred Education and Experience


Experience doing maintenance work in similar type of environment.
