General Description and Classification Standards
Manages tenant contractual obligations and operational aspects of concession tenants. This is an experienced managerial level charged with responsibility for one or more activities within a department. Position manages a group of specialized professional employees. Areas of responsibility are typically unique within the department.
Supervision Received
Normally receives guidance regarding overall mission, short-term and mid-term objectives, scheduling, unusual priorities, etc. but is free to set work methods, timetables, performance standards, etc.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. May perform other duties as assigned.
Monitors day-to-day operations of concessions and ensuring concessionaires comply with regulatory standards of the City, FDA, health department, state, and federal regulations and terms of the lease agreement.
Supervise compliance team, maintains quality control standards and review pricing for locations
Conducts monthly concessionaire and semi-monthly prime concessionaire meetings.
Manages the concessions distribution and delivery program.
Oversee the daily maintenance of concession stores, inspects the space and equipment monthly to ensure facilities are maintained properly.
Facilitate resolution of concessionaires' compliance issues, including facility disruptions, logistics, access, and TSA security directives.
Manages all contracted services and keep contractors accountable, oversees schedules, submittals and work performed.
Manages the concessions distribution and delivery program.
Directs efforts of contracted consultants in project related work. Executes procurement processes for the hiring of consultants to support new projects and other needs.
Assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements. Address lease violations
Work with the Atlanta Fire Department in planning and implementation of a concessions fire safety program. Responsible for Emergency Evacuation Plan with concessionaires.
Keep abreast of regulatory developments and best practices in compliance control. Develop and implement SOPs for audit processes.
Serve on evaluation committees for Request for Proposals and prepare reports for senior management as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of lease agreements and mechanisms for enforcement of lease provisions; knowledge of industry standards and regulations, audit, reporting procedures and record keeping, designing, and coordinating the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure compliance requirements are met; coordinating rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives when required
Knowledge of restaurant and retail operations; knowledge of industry standard methods of audits and depicting information and performance.
Demonstrated skills consistent with emergency coordination roles (training in NIMS, Incident Command, etc.); skilled in using Microsoft Excel to develop and analyze compliance auditing data.
Ability to demonstrate effective negotiation and conflict management skills and a cooperative team player work style; ability to write concisely and clearly for a variety of mediums such as lease correspondence, procurement scopes of work, concessions promotional materials; ability to prepare presentations, deliver information verbally for small and large groups of internal or external audiences.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications €“ Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Public Health, Environmental or appropriate discipline (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).
5 years of leadership experience in compliance management or supervisor (of professionals) or equivalent role in a related area.
Preferred Education & Experience
Master's degree in Business Management, Public Health or related area and 2-3 years' of directly related compliance management work.
Licensures and Certifications
Certified Food Safety and Quality Auditor (CFSQA) Certifications are desirable.
