The Director of General Manager Recruitment – Asia Pacific is the key business partner to resource the business with the best General Manager (GM) talent in the market to manage and grow the company at the required pace. You will lead the end-to-end General Manager recruitment process and partner with local leaders to position Hilton as the preferred employer setting new standards for effective and efficient recruitment practices. You will build a world-class recruitment practice fit for the market that is measured and accountable for an exceptional candidate experience that hires the right candidate for the position every time with a focus on the best most diverse talent. Partnering with the business you will deliver on Team Member career aspirations driving the internal hire and transfer rate on a year-on-year basis.
You will operate as a key member of the Recruitment leadership team, reporting to the Head of Recruitment - Asia Pacific based in Singapore. This role will be based in the Singapore Area Office with occasional travel within the APAC region.
What will I be doing?
As the Director of General Manager Recruitment – Asia Pacific, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Setting Strategy
Advance Hilton’s recruitment practices in the market by working with the APAC Head of Recruitment and leadership team to create an inspiring recruitment strategy to meet business needs identifying clear processes/systems/ measures/metrics for success.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to bring the GM recruitment strategy to life, with a clear playbook that is easily understood by internal key stakeholders, recruiters, and the broader business.
Survey the labor and competitor landscape for changing talent preferences and trends on an ongoing basis and present to the business solutions that put Hilton at an advantage to hire the best GM talent
Build and lead an inspiring, innovative & connected recruitment culture articulating what a successful process & hire looks and feels like.
Play a leading role in the design and implementation of business-wide GM recruiting processes, applicant tracking systems, management reporting, and vendor management.
Propose the adoption of suitable recruiting metrics that lead to the successful integration of new hires.
Develop innovative sourcing strategies and procedures to ensure there is a consistent and positive candidate experience which increases the prospects of acquisition and retention of diverse talents for the business.
In conjunction with business leaders develop and drive EVP strategy to make Hilton the first choice for our target GM talents and build a strong talent pipeline to support the business growth.
Leading and Influencing
Develop strong, positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, gather feedback, address concerns, and cultivate enthusiasm for GM recruitment outcomes.
Lead the recruitment process for GM recruitment and oversee the execution of all activities in recruiting and sourcing internal and external talents.
Build strong supplier relationships to ensure that Hilton is updated on top local talents looking for opportunities and build in-market networks of top talent from key competitors.
Work closely with the marketing department & recruitment marketing in effectively establishing communication strategies that attract diverse GM talent to the business.
Supporting the Growth of Team Member Capability
Identify future talent requirements for the business and creates opportunities to fill the future pipeline through internal succession planning.
Create a fast-track internal recruitment process that is effective in recognizing the past and present performance of internal talents.
Identify best practices for top talent to move within the APAC & Global Hilton network to support the transfer of Hilton DNA and deliver on General Manager career aspirations.
Coordinate the selection of inter-region and intra-region Hilton talent blended with best-in-market local talent to always have a diverse candidate slate ensuring that we have capability and job fit as the driver of success
Work with other key stakeholders, regularly providing insights impacting the business which include training, internal movement, and career-path creation.
Act as the go-to person for all things GM recruitment including managing referrals from senior leaders
Executing for Results
Responsible for providing direction and consultation to the business on emerging trends and best practices that impact and influence acquisition and attraction within key talent segments.
Develop and maintain an understanding of the business to sell to potential hires and talents in the market.
Ensure all recruiting practices comply with the regulations, both internal and external. Conduct research and translate trends into creative and innovative practices, maintain a strong understanding of how the innovative trends and competitive landscape affect the business, and identify the most suitable recruiting approaches to support high-performance hiring.
Ensure that General Manager diversity targets are exceeded by having ready-to-go talent banks of local talents ready to hire.
Analytics
Analyse and deliver ongoing reports after tracking the results, impacts, and cost-effectiveness of the current recruiting strategies. Use this information to identify trends and adjust the recruiting strategies to optimize the impact on recruitment outcomes. You will conduct research and experiment, and take risks that drive creative and innovative hiring solutions.
Create a dashboard that regularly reports on recruitment KPIs so that the business has visibility on recruitment activities that can be addressed proactively.

More than 10 years of related experience in a recruiting position, with at least 8 years of executive stakeholder management experience in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
Possess strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to transform processes and mindsets to achieve key business metrics.
Demonstrate the ability to establish and articulate a vision for the evolution of General Manager recruitment, clearly translating it into an executable strategy and driving recruitment outcomes.
Ability to lead full-cycle recruitment as well as have a broad understanding of general HR requirements for employment.
Excellent communication skills with strong stakeholder management skills.
Ability to build strong and lasting relationships with others, and inspire trust and confidence in them to attract the best talents in the market into the business.
Possess strong technical acumen and have a data-driven approach to recruitment strategy formulation and decision-making.
Passionate about research and data analysis as well as the insights derived from it. Skilled at using raw data and information, analyzing it, and developing lasting solutions and effective insights. Ability to analyze and measure the performance of current recruiting practices and identify solutions and areas of improvement.
A strategic and creative decision-maker who is self-motivated working with minimal supervision, highly adaptive, welcomes changes, has a keen eye for detail, and is highly organized.
Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines; has exceptional problem-solving skills, and demonstrates composure in times of uncertainty and stress.
