HOTEL DESCRIPTION

The Moxy Sydney Airport is located within the Sydney Airport precinct and a short relative drive to the Sydney CBD. This location offers excellent visibility and exposure with views from Joyce Drive which is a major thoroughfare into both the domestic and international terminals, good accessibility, good proximity to demand and good support amenities including shopping and dining in the nearby suburbs of Mascot and Alexandria. The hotel offers 301 rooms, a 90-seat all-day dining restaurant/bar, and 100 sqm function space. The hotel is projected to open in Q2, 2023.

The Event Sales Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day processes associated with the pre-event and post-event phases of an event and the associated transitions between all event phases, ensuring a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales with a focus on building long term, value based customer relationships.

Responsible for preparing all event documentation for assigned functions, meetings, conferences and events
Identify and secure new local catering and social event opportunities
Prepare detailed proposals, contracts and banquet event orders that are tailored to client requirements
Work alongside all property departments and the customer to ensure consistent, high level of service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases of property events
Plan and conduct high end site inspections and entertainment with a focus on conversion and securing repeat business
Identify opportunities to offer enhancements to create outstanding events
Act as an ambassador for Moxy Sydney Airport and promote awareness of the hotel


ABOUT YOU


Minimum two years’ experience in an event sales or planning capacity
Passion and drive are considered highly desirable
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter, looking to grow in a sales or events capacity
Permanent residency or unlimited working rights in Australia
