Housekeeping – Room AttendantThe Housekeeper will have the opportunity to provide the most welcoming and comfortable room experience for every guest during their stay through the cleaning, sanitizing and scheduled servicing of all assigned guestrooms and commercial public areas. DepartmentHousekeepingFSLA StatusNon-ExemptSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneDuties/ResponsibilitiesnFollows all safety protocols, including assignment of safety beacons, proper cart placement, awareness of surroundings, and maintaining safe keeping of key cardsnBe aware of suspicious activities and report any concerns, no matter how small, to the General Manager.nBe accountable for any found property or guest items left in rooms. Turn in any property immediately to lost and found per the hotel policy.nMaintains and organizes cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.nPerforms general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout the property as assigned.nCleans and disinfects bathrooms, and when applicable kitchen and dining areas.nUses proper chemicals according to OSHA Safety and Health Management System guidelines.nWipes and dusts all surfaces, cleans mirrors, vacuums, and cleans floors, rugs, furniture and window treatments, according to the property procedures.nWashes dishes, utensils, glasses, and any other kitchen equipment when a kitchen is present, all according to the property procedures.nRemoves and replaces all linen, terry, and blankets on assigned days.nNeatly remakes all beds with appropriate linens and blankets, and restocks bathrooms with terry and amenities according to brand standards.nEmpties and sanitizes all trash containers, replacing appropriate liners according to brand standards.nReviews room for any issues or needed repairs and reports appropriately according to the procedure adopted by the hotel.nCleans and organizes laundry room and storage closets.nSecures all storage closets, laundry doors, and laundry chutes at all times.nHandles guest requests.nReports room discrepancies.nLoads washers and dryers, folds sheets and towels in the laundry room as needed.nWears appropriate brand required uniform and name tag during all scheduled shifts.nRequired Skills/AbilitiesnDetail oriented and thoroughnAbility to perform basic communication skillsnEducation and ExperienceEducation sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the jobPhysical RequirementsnProlonged periods standing and walking, and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.nMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at a time.nDuties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
