DescriptionThe Director of Slots oversees and directs all aspects of the Slot Department to ensure exceptional guest service delivery, operational excellence, superior performance results, effective capital management, and compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Gaming regulatory agencies. Duties/ResponsibilitiesnPromote and maintain a business model embracing a “best practices” mindset to secure continuous improvement and competitive advantage through the review/analysis of key performance metrics and the adoption of effective, current trends and practices.nEffectively monitor and analyze key performance indicators and metrics to devise operational strategies and capital recommendations to secure competitive advantage by developing responsive action plans to avert and/or correct negative trends and/or leverage positive trends. n Ensure compliance with all Casino policies and procedures, applicable regulatory and/or governing agencies, Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission, IRS Title 31, and Internal Control Standards (ICS).nApply positive communication techniques and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with Team Members and Guests (internal and external). nEnsure teams are delivering exceptional service to all internal and external guests.nDemonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment when dealing with difficult or challenging situations.n Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the Slot Department consistent with Soboba’s strategies.nProvide leadership and direction in the development, execution, and measurement of guest service standards within the department.nDirect the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to secure Soboba’s competitive advantage in anticipation of changing guests’ needs.nCollaborate with Marketing and Finance departments to ensure Casino events maximize guest satisfaction and profitability.nPrepare and execute annual capital budget.n Delegate projects and tasks to middle management consistent with company policies.n Protect company assets and confidentiality of company files and documents.n Conduct periodic slot product assessment at competitor properties to ensure target mix of games.nSupervisory ResponsibilitiesnDemonstrate effective management skills and expertise in staff selection, training and development, performance management, and staff deployment.nOversee and direct functions of entire Slot Division’s operating departments including guest service delivery and dispute resolution.nManage people, equipment, and processes aligned with Casino expectations, policies, goals and objectives, budgets.nEnsure Team is delivering superior customer service to Guests and performing tasks to standards expected.nPromote safe work practices by providing safety instruction, conducting the Casino’s operations in all its business endeavors.nRequirementsEducation / QualificationsnMust be at least 21 years of age.nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent, required.nBachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, and/or seven (7) years Slot Management/Operations experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.nAt least seven (7) years of experience within the gaming industry.nMust possess excellent leadership skills.nExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point and AutoCAD.nAbility to promote innovation, change, and diversity by embracing and generating better and innovative ways to improve individual and business performance aligned to Soboba Casino’s mission.n Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with particular attention to quality in the effective management of multiple departments.nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.nMust be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.nCertificates, Licenses and RegistrationnAbility to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license. nRequired to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.nAdditional InformationAll applicants must be able to demonstrate their US work
